ASIAN DONORS NEEDED

I've been doing alot of donating and stuff lately... which I guess it's what you do when you get old. LOL.  When I went to the Boogie On The Bayou, I didn't buy anything but donated for the SV Duck Race.  I think my chances of winning are good.  The grand prize is a scooter! heheh.  I need to get another one for PL.  I also got an email promo for American Red Cross/United.  Donate $50 and get 500 miles.  Oh yeah, I'm also donating to my niece pretty soon on a monthly basis to help her with college.  I might get her a gas card or something to help cover her expenses.  She's going to my Alma Mater so I have to help a fellow Bobcat out! :)

Yesterday, my gf told me about Project Michelle and I thought I'd spread the word about being a Bone Marrow Transplant Donor for Asian-Americans.  I've actually requested a home kit and they send it to you for free, but you have to be really serious about it because it's actually a non-prof.  I read about being a donor and it doesn't seem to be alot of work at all (no surgeries or anything).  So if you can, please help Michelle out.  I think she needs a donor before August, which isn't alot of time.  I think it's just really hard to find a match because of the lack of resources in Asia even though there are a cadrillon people on that side of the world.

So I'm going to wait for my kit, hope to be a "lottery" winner, save a life, and call in sick for a few days. Hopefully, my bf will bask me with flowers (Hey - I am a bouquet whore OK!!!??).

Meetup.com - Different groups of people meeting up (whether it's potluck, festivals, entrepreneurs, a trade meetup or create your own around your hood).  I haven't attended any yet - but I plan to when I get back from Texas.

The Jing Project - Just like SnagIt, but FREE.  SnagIt is a tool where you can "steal" images from your screen instead of doing screenshots.  Jing Project lets you upload it onto Flickr too.  Plus, SnagIt is NOT available for Macs so this is your only resource!
